Bits & Bytes
Man Maid is the first feature project shot with the revolutionary "Yedlog" software.  Essentially Yedlog programs a Logarithmic Gamma curve into the camera (Sony F-900 in our case, with Panavision lenses) that optimizes the exposure latitude of the HD format.  It allows the filmmakers to use exposure information normally discarded in order to make the image more palatable when viewed on a standard monitor.  Since we will be adjusting the contrast and color we can make use of this greater range of image information when color correcting for film or any other projection system.
It also allows for a much greater range in regular video correction as well.  In short, it helps to create a beautiful picture filled with clarity warmth and depth.

THE FRIARS CLUB COMEDY FILM FESTIVAL (FCCFF) is a star-studded celebration of the comedy genre in the heart of vibrant New York City. Known widely for its roasts and "100 years of antics," members of the Friars Club include the industry's top comedians and entertainers, from Frank Sinatra to Billy Crystal, and Whoopi Goldberg to Jerry Seinfeld. The Friars Club introduces FCCFF to foster the next generation of comedy filmmakers, to offer comedic filmmakers a platform for presenting their work, and to fill a void by paying tribute to a genre that often gets overlooked.

FCCFF promises four days of films, networking, parties, and laughter, and offers filmmakers the opportunity to introduce their work to leading executives, comedians, and industry professionals. The Festival's Board of Advisors alone offers a virtual who's who in film and comedy.

MISSION AND OBJECTIVE
The Friars Club continues its tradition of commitment to comedy and nurturing new voices in entertainment with the introduction of the Comedy Film Festival. FCCFF seeks to give comedy films a world-class film festival to call home.

MORE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
On the calendar will be screenings of feature films, documentaries, and shorts from around the world, as well as panel discussions with leading film industry professionals. Films will be presented at the Friars Club clubhouse, supplemented by screenings at nearby theaters within walking distance. A panel of jurors comprised of filmmakers and professionals in the various fields of cinema will award the Festival's Best Feature, Best Documentary, and Best Short distinctions.

The Festival is not limited to any particular style of comedy. In their own words: "Whether it's crass, slapstick, sarcastic, a romantic comedy, a dark comedy, a spoof - you name it, if it's funny, it's eligible."
